What in the world is öko-tex?

Öko-Tex (sounds like echo-tex) is a ecological certification process that tests for over 100 harmful substances such as lead, formaldehyde, mercury, pesticides, phthalates, and lots of other difficult to pronounce and dangerous items.

With all the stories of dangerously high levels of lead in children’s toys, it was important to us to find a material for our products that is not only luxurious to play with but is completely safe for kids!
